For the last 20 years the Karl and Friedrich restaurant has been delighting its guests with a variety of beers from its own brewery.
Our beer is crafted in accordance with the 1516 Beer Purity Law using equipment from the world-famous Bavarian company Caspary. The brewery is headed by braumeister Aleksei Chernysh, a brewer with many years of experience. Over the past few years, our brewery has been expanding and is now situated not only in the Karl and Friedrich restaurant but also in the Alpenhaus restaurant. This venue is located nearby and a special construction called a Beer Bridge has been installed between them to connect the two breweries.
More about the brewery

During which beer has been prevalent in the cultures of many nations around the globe. The art of beer-brewing has been constantly evolving and has finally reached perfection in Germany, where special requirements for beer-making were formulated during the Middle Ages.
The recipe for German beer, consisting of malt, hops and water, was established in 1516 by the Bavarian Beer Purity Law (Reinheitsgebot) and has not changed since. Over the course of time, German regulations for beer ingredients have been supplemented by requirements for the quality of equipment.
The technology used by the Karl and Friedrich brewery is an example of the orderly German approach to brewing beer. The wort is produced using a traditional decoction method on the most up-to-date equipment, and the fermentation is carried out in accordance with the classic Bavarian open fermentation technique.
